Care can be cultivated
Who we are
Since 2020
Everyday care, explained the way you actually live.
Est.
2020
By the time Fofa started, every question about food, training or skin already had a dozen confident answers waiting for it. Half of them contradicted the other half, and almost none of them said where they came from.
So we didn't add another opinion. We started checking them instead, then writing down whatever survived in language a person can use in a week that already has too much in it. That is still the whole job.
Our mission
To make fitness, skin and nutrition genuinely understandable to people with jobs, and to stop treating perfection as the finish line.
The thinking underneath
Grown,
not perfected.
Care is not installed once and then maintained forever. You try something, notice what it does, keep the part that works and change the rest when your life changes shape. Most advice skips all of that and quietly assumes a reader with no job, no winter and no bad weeks.
No guru. No origin myth.
Fofa
Six years in
Six years, zero before-and-afters.
Six years buys judgment, not a headline. Mostly it has taught us which questions deserve three weeks of work, and which ones only sound urgent on a Monday morning.
6
Years
spent narrowing what we cover, sharpening how it gets explained, and making peace with the pieces we decide not to run at all.
3
Core subjects
Fitness. Skin. Nutrition.
Three, not eleven. Narrow enough to go deep, close enough together to belong to one life.
150+
Topics covered so far
from protein timing to retinol patience to walking as genuine training. A good number have been rewritten since, because the evidence moved or we simply got better at explaining them.
1
One test, every piece
Could someone use this on a Thursday, without buying anything?
What actually changed
Pickier,
not louder.
Most of the progress has been subtraction: fewer trending topics, fewer borrowed claims, fewer routines that quietly assume a reader with nothing else on. What is left is shorter and takes considerably longer to make.
The restrained version of this work turned out to be the harder one.
Behind Fofa
There are people between the question and the page.
Before a subject reaches a reader it passes through several kinds of work: reading, questioning, cutting, rewriting, photographing and arranging. None of it is visible on the page, which is rather the point.
Research & content team
Looks deeper into topics, terminology and useful context before information is simplified for readers.
Editorial team
Shapes subjects into clear, readable stories and asks whether every explanation earns its place.
Creative team
Turns information into visual experiences that make people want to stop, look and understand rather than scroll past another wall of wellness advice.
Reader experience team
Pays attention to how information is organised, navigated and encountered across Fofa Beauty.
What drives us
Four things we keep arguing for.
Clarity is a form of respect.
Readers should not need specialist vocabulary to understand an everyday subject.
Beautiful doesn't mean empty.
Strong design should make information more inviting, not hide weak content.
Curiosity beats judgment.
Wellness information should help people understand, not make them feel evaluated.
We can leave something out.
More tips, more steps and more rules do not automatically make content better.
How we work
We research first. We publish last.
A subject only becomes an article once we can follow the answer back to where it came from, and say it in language that still holds up on an ordinary Tuesday.
Five stages sit between a reader's question and a published page. None of them are quick, and none of them are skipped because a subject happens to be trending.
Where a topic starts
Most subjects arrive through repetition: the same question asked by readers in different words, or advice circulating widely with nobody explaining where it came from. If it wouldn't be useful in an ordinary week, we leave it.
What we read before we write
Research starts at the source: published studies, clinical guidance and the original data behind a claim, rather than the summary written to promote it. We note who was studied, in what context, and who funded the work.
Who checks it
Anything touching training load, nutrition or skin health is read by a qualified practitioner in that field before it goes live. Where credible sources disagree, the piece says so instead of choosing the tidier answer.
The clarity edit
Every draft is edited for plain language, borrowed urgency and quiet exaggeration. Jargon is either explained or removed, and where the evidence is thin, the sentence says the evidence is thin.
What happens afterwards
Published is not finished. Articles are revisited on a schedule and rewritten when guidance moves, so a piece from three years ago either still stands up or carries the correction that changed it.
Average time
3 weeks
between a question being logged and the finished piece reaching the site. Longer whenever a specialist asks us to look again.
What we will not publish
A number we cannot trace back to its source.
A single study turned into a rule for everyone.
A recommendation nobody on the team has verified.
A body, a plate or a face described as a problem to fix.
Fofa Beauty publishes information, not medical advice. Anything specific to your own health belongs in a conversation with your practitioner, and we will always say so.
Before you go
Questions we'd rather answer clearly.
What is Fofa Beauty?
An informational wellness brand exploring fitness, skin and nutrition through accessible editorial content. We write, edit and design explanations of everyday subjects, and publish them in one place rather than scattering them across formats.
Is Fofa Beauty a medical or healthcare service?
No. Fofa Beauty provides general informational content and does not replace individualised medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. For anything specific to your own health, a qualified professional is the right place to go.
Why fitness, skin and nutrition together?
Because they are subjects many people already encounter within the same everyday life. Fofa Beauty gives them one editorial home without pretending they are identical, and without reducing wellness to a single formula.
Do I need to follow everything I read here?
No. Fofa Beauty is designed to help readers understand ideas and consider what may be relevant to them, not to hand out a universal checklist everyone is expected to follow. Taking one idea and leaving the rest is a perfectly good way to read us.
How can I get in touch with Fofa Beauty?
Through the Let's Connect page. Questions about our content, our approach or the company itself all arrive in the same place, and a person reads them.
Let's connect
There's a real team on this side of the page.
Questions about Fofa Beauty, our content or the company behind it? We'd be glad to hear from you.
